‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ spoilers: Major season 3 clue to appear tonight
If you are going to be watching Wednesday night’s new “American Horror Story: Asylum” episode, you have yet another reason to be on the watch for something special. Just as Ryan Murphy dropped a few clues about the theme of season 2 during an episode of his show back in 2011, he is also planning to do the same exact thing here when it comes to season 3.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner (who is also now a new dad to son Logan) explained that anyone who is looking for the clue to be the same as what we saw last time around is going to probably miss it; but unfortunately, this is really the only major clue that he handed out:
“It’s not done like it was last year. It’s a different kind of clue. You really have to be quick and watch. I made sure to put it in there for the fans because I know people loved that last year, figuring it out.”
The one thing that he is doing this year that is a little bit different is actually telling everyone that there is a clue there to begin with. Last time around, Murphy was a little bit more vague when it came to the specific episode, but some were still able to figure out that the hint was in the episode “birth,” where Sarah Paulson’s character described how evil often seeps through insane asylums and prisons.
Even if for whatever reason you, like many, find this season to either be too convoluted or a bit of a letdown compared to season 1, the nice thing here is that you really can still look forward to the show coming up later this year. After all, it will likely not be a continuation here at all, and will feature many of the same great actors in new roles.
What are you hoping Murphy does for season 3? If you want another tease about what is coming up moving forward this season, all you need to do is check out the story here.
