‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3 spoilers: Boss talks future of Emily, Paige

We have heard quite a bit about troubles for Aria / Ezra through the remainder of “Pretty Little Liars” season 3, in addition to the obvious problems that are going to arise as soon as it is fully revealed to Spencer just what is going on with her boyfriend Toby. However, what we have not heard that much of lately is what is going to be coming up with Emily and the new lady officially in her life in Paige.

So are the two going to have some sort of drama-free existence moving forward into the rest of the season? Far from it. In a conference call with reporters Wednesday, executive producer Marlene King said that there is going to be an almost-equal amount of drama between all of its couples coming up beginning with the January 8 premiere, and this includes Emily. Sorry, to all of you out there hoping she would get a break following all of the terrible things that happened regarding “Nate” during the first half of the season.

So what sort of problems will arise for Emily and Paige? These are not going to be issues that are as enormous as a secret love child (like with Ezra) or one of the two potentially being a part of the “A Team.” Rather, they are just going to have issues that any normal relationship has, including figuring out how to trust each other fully in the wake of everything they have gone through. Paige was a suspect of many of Emily’s friends for some time, and the burden of that is not going to magically evaporate anytime soon.
