‘Teen Wolf’ season 3: Colton Haynes leaves show … or does he?

There are some confusing stories out there in the world of TV; and then, there is the strange case of just what is happening to “Teen Wolf” star Colton Haynes. Is the man really leaving the show before season 3 starts, seeing his role cut in half, or having something else entirely happening to him? At this given point in time, it really seems to depend very much on who you decide to ask.

If you ask Haynes himself, it appears for now that the man is done with the show. In a post on Twitter, here is what he had to say:

“These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love”

This statement goes along with a recent story from Us Weekly claiming that Haynes is going to be leaving the show, with one of the primary reasons supposedly being budgetary issues for MTV, which is taking a large gamble on the show in giving it 24 episodes for its third season, which is the equivalent of a network drama like “Grey’s Anatomy.”

However, MTV themselves have released the following statement claiming that contrary to even his own belief, Haynes is really not going anywhere anytime soon:

“[There is] absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf.”
