When could the first Homeland season 7 trailer arrive?

Are you looking for a Homeland season 7 trailer? Trust us when we say CarterMatt is just as eager to see one.

If you are to compare the progress of thing in season 7 to where things were in season 6, the show is a little bit behind. The first season 6 trailer launched in November 2016; yet, here we are with no indication as to when the first look at season 7 will arrive. Filming for this season did start a little bit later this year than it did in 2016; if you did not hear, production shifted down from New York City to Virginia. We are getting another season set stateside, but the new location is meant to accommodate where the story is right now in the aftermath of Carrie being sent away from the White House. President Keane is there trying to come to grips with her power, and is surrounded by a very tight-knit group of people attempting to puppet her. It’s a dangerous situation that she finds herself in, one where she is struggling to maintain some element of self-reliance and understanding of what the rest of the country thinks. It’s a very applicable situation to present-day, which shouldn’t be a surprise given that Homeland creates some of these parallels so well.

New episodes of Homeland are set to begin airing in 2018; one of the other goals of a new trailer will be to establish a premiere date. Given the aforementioned timeline season 7 will likely premiere later than mid-January (when season 6 premiered) and that’s fine — you never want to rush great things along, especially since Homeland seems to be a stronger series when there is a little more time between seasons for the story to breathe and for the writers to come up with new ideas.

Obviously, we’ll have an update at CarterMatt when one is available, but with production two months along now it’s fair to expect some sort of video footage before Christmas.
