NCIS season 15 spoilers: What’s happening with Nick Torres?
So what is coming up next for Nick? We know a few isolated things at present. First, remember that we reported yesterday that Torres is going to be visiting Congress alongside Leon Vance in the season premiere. These two guys are going to have the difficult task of trying to explain what went on during the Paraguay mission that currently has Gibbs and McGee trapped in the country. That’s no easy task, and they have every bit of our sympathy.
Beyond that, the photo below (as posted by Valderrama himself) shows the character in another very-different state: He looks like he’s recovering from someone striking him in the face. What happened here? Well, he’s one of the more action-oriented guys on the team now. Torres is going to be used for some of the show’s most high-octane sequences, which means in turn that he’s going to get some bumps and bruises from people trying to resist arrest or challenge him. This is just a sign above all else that things aren’t going too well for the guy in one of the opening episodes, but it’s clearly not stopping him from working alongside Bishop (Emily Wickersham) in order to get the job done.
Beyond the NCIS premiere, CBS has kept a fairly tight lip on the story with one key exception: The arrival of Maria Bello to the show a few episodes into it. Her character is an agent who will challenge Gibbs in ways that he has not been challenged before. We’re sure that she will also have a relationship with Torres, Bishop, and many other characters, but the specifics there are to be determined. This is a character-based show, and with that we imagine that the producers aren’t going to skimp on some of the interesting character moments … even in the midst of a number of cases.

Thank you for the ‘sneak peek” photo! This time of year is always a balancing act between allowing viewers to get a “taste” of the upcoming season-but not too reveal too much.I really like the way Torres has been gradually developing as a character–the “Home of the Brave” scene when he handed off the apartment keys to McGee and his later episode with the cancer patient were good glimpses of how he is evolving-bring on September 26!
