Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: The new HoH’s plan (day 66, morning)

new HoH

The new HoH was crowned in the Big Brother 19 house on Thursday night, and one of the things that we did see from that is a path as to how Paul could end up making it far this season and still losing. Jason won the power as a result of the endurance competition, and this marks the third straight competition cycle in which he has been safe either via HoH or Veto. There is a reason why he was being considered the target by most other people in the house before winning this, and he’s got a shot to make a huge move.

With that … he wants to take out Matt or Raven. Well, that is technically a move, but he’s getting rid of someone who has won zero HoH competitions either way, and Matt’s really only won a Veto that nobody else wanted to date. They’re not huge threats, but they’re a duo and that seems to be the biggest reason why they are considered dangerous to the game moving forward.

We are going to be very much curious to see how Matt and Raven react to actually being targets in the game, since they’re not dumb enough to believe that the goal for the week is to backdoor Kevin. This is a guy who hasn’t come close to winning many competitions all season long, and we certainly don’t see that changing tonight. Kevin’s went from being a possible winner threat early this season to almost the perfect person to drag along, mostly because he doesn’t have any real control and Paul’s been trashing him for weeks now.

Kevin could be the replacement nominee this time around in the event one is needed, and it would be interesting to see how he handles that. We know that Paul wanted to keep him in the game a little while longer, but if he freaks out, it’s possible that this plan could change a little bit.

We know that personally, we’d like nothing more than to see Matt and Raven split up in the game. Think back to preseason, when everyone loved Matt for his Brett Favre appearance and felt that he had some upside to being a likable dude who would try to do some decent things in the game. Think back to the perception of Big Jeff the first time he was on the show. We do know what happened with Matt, and it was probably him getting attached to someone we were worried about from the moment that she claimed to be a fan of Frankie Grande before going on the show. Had he been paired up with some other people, there’s a good chance that things could have been different in the end.

Rest assured, we’ll be back later at the link here to report on more from the house, whether it be the Tree of Temptation or our latest interview with Allison Grodner. Nominations should also take place latter tonight, so be on the lookout for that. (Photo: CBS.)
