Grey’s Anatomy season 14: Jesse Williams welcomes back Kim Raver!
If you look below, you can also see one of the first photos featuring Raver in action. This was posted on the official Instagram account of Jesse Williams (Jackson), who is more than excited to have her back. Raver’s return is coming at a tremendous time for the show, one in which she may be able to bring in more of the story of Megan Hunt (played now by Abigail Spencer). Teddy was mentioned in the season 13 finale, which in turn better paved the way for her return. She’s a great character, and while no one has said how long she will stick around for, this is one of those occasions where you just celebrate having her for however long we can.
For one reason or another, the part of this photo that we laugh at the most is that when you click on the tags, Williams has tagged Camilla Luddington as Eddie Redmayne. In another, he has her as Benedict Cumberbatch. Does he just love labeling her as random British celebrities?
Anyhow, Raver’s return is one of the first signs that season 14 is going to be a great one, though there are some other notable things worth talking about, as well. For one, you need to remember that over the course of the year we’ll see the foundation laid for a firefighter spin-off, we’re set to see DeLuca’s sister for the first time, there could be more story told about Jackson’s romantic life, Arizona will be single again after the departure of Dr. Eliza Minnick, and there will of course be new patients and challenges. There’s also a huge milestone episode coming in #300 for the series, and the show’s probably going to go all-out with that.
On a darker note, there are rumors regarding the return of Matthew Morrison as Paul, a terrible person who could make Jo’s life a living hell. Just thinking about that is enough to send a chill down the spines of many people out there. His return could also spell some trouble for Alex, given that the two did spend a bit of time around each other after Alex went on his spy mission-of-sorts near the end of this past season.
