Dancing with the Stars: Will Peta Murgatroyd return to the dance floor?
According to People Magazine, even though she competed this past season with The Bachelor star Nick Viall, her return is still up in the air. She is weighing all her options and figuring out the best way to first be a mom and then a dancer. Murgatroyd explained to Entertainment Tonight her thinking process:
“I don’t want to spend 10 hours away a day from my child, so those things factor into it for me. I’m a mom now and that comes first you know?”
And Murgatroyd isn’t the only one who is hesitate to return to DWTS. Her new husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy is also thinking about his future on the show. Pete Murgatroyd also went into some details about this to the aforementioned publication:
“To be honest, we don’t know yet. We’re sort of waiting to hear things, waiting to see what our schedules are gonna be like, so, yeah, I mean stayed tuned.”
So DWTS fans can only hope that one of the fan favorite couple return to the show. And not just because they are so popular but also because of their talent. Both Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd are extremely talented dancers and they both bring some great dance moves and styles to the floor and to the competition.
Of course, we would also understand if the pair decided to step back and take a break. And with Murgatroyd obviously smitten with being a mom, a return to DWTS isn’t a guarantee. She even commented on how exciting her life has become since becoming a mom.
“Seeing the little changes every single day. I mean he’s growing up so fast it’s exactly what people say it is. You know, you blink and then they’re one. You know so he’s nearly seven months now, and he’s standing up. He’s nearly walking by himself. It’s amazing. It’s an incredible journey to be on.”
However, it wouldn’t be a shock if Murgatroyd came back this season after she recently told ET that her dance body is back and she’s feeling good and is ready to go.
Overall, whatever her decision is we completely understand and we will support either one and we hope DWTS fans will also do the same. The new cast should be announced in the weeks ahead leading up to the show’s premiere on ABC this fall.
