Teen Wolf season 6: Dylan O’Brien’s emotion accents perfect Comic-Con

The perfect Teen Wolf farewell occurred at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this weekend, and courtesy of a surprise guest in Dylan O’Brien. He wasn’t listed as someone who would be on the panel, but he turned up and, in the process, helped to make EVERYONE all the more emotional in the process. It was already the final panel for the show, and then he went on to discuss how returning to the show always felt like “home” to him even after he started to get more job opportunities elsewhere.

During the panel, here is just some of what he had to say on the subject of what this show means to him:

“I gotta echo what Tyler said. It’s nothing but emotional … This will always be such a special thing for me. This was my first part ever. I remember my first call from my manager … [and that led to me entering] entering this whole new phase in my life. I didn’t even know that at the time — I just got a job. The fact that seven years [from then], we’re 25, we just finished [filming the show]. It’s just amazing. It’ll always be a family. I’ll always miss this character and this show.”

O’Brien will make some appearances in the final ten episodes, but the precise number of them remains to be seen. We also know that he is far from the only original series star to be turning up, given that there are signs that the likes of Tyler Hoechlin and Colton Haynes are also going to be around in some capacity. You’ve got a lot of fun stuff to look forward to! The show’s going to be crazy, scary, and adventurous, but you will have opportunities for closure. After all, the Teen Wolf gang really wouldn’t give you anything different after so many years. This show has enriched their lives every bit as much, if not more, than it has enriched the lives of everyone watching.

The best thing to remember coming out of the convention is effectively simple: We’re almost at the end of the road for the hiatus! The first of the final episodes starts airing a week from tomorrow on MTV, and we’re excited to break that down further when the stories start airing. Think in terms of previews, reviews, and other teases here and there. We hope you join us on the journey to see where everything concludes for Scott, Stiles, and the rest of the pack. Oh, and we’ll be getting emotional along the way, too.
