Bachelor in Paradise 4 reunion: Corinne Olympios to appear

Corinne Olympios

DeMario Jackson is not going to be the only surprise Bachelor in Paradise 4 reunion guest; Corinne Olympios will also be turning up.

Corinne confirmed the news late Wednesday for the first time, and in the process kept her thoughts reasonably short and sweet: “I am very happy to be appearing on the Bachelor In Paradise Special.”

As for what will be discussed with her on this special, that remains to be seen. For now, we just know that this is going to be potentially the most-discussed reunion in the history of the entire ABC franchise given that she to date has not appeared on television since the incident that unfolded earlier this summer with her and DeMario. Concerns from a producer led to production being shut down, and after an investigation, studio Warner Bros. determined that there was no wrongdoing on the part of the show. Filming began again as a result of that, with Corinne continuing an investigation through her own attorney that concluded a short period of time later.

There has certainly been no shortage of opinions towards Corinne since what happened, and there will probably be no shortage during this special, either. One of the things that we’re very curious to see is how many of her fellow cast members feel towards her now, given that the original incident and investigation is something that jeopardized their ability to appear on the show. If there is one thing that we do know, it’s that reality stars — provided that it’s not at the expense of someone else’s safety or well-being — want to further get exposure for themselves on TV. Do they harbor some resentment towards her, or are they sympathetic towards what transpired and her desire for further information?

At this point, we just hope that everyone is civil since what’s in the past is in the past. We’re not one to judge anyone, and hopefully the people on the show and the public don’t either. DeMario has already said that he still likes Corinne and would love to discuss everything that happened, and maybe on this reunion show the two will get an opportunity to do just that.

If nothing else, this special should offer up a sense of closure to Corinne, DeMario, and hopefully the entire franchise so that there is not this big cloud hanging over it for the remainder of its run on TV. Given that Bachelor in Paradise is considered for the most part to be silly summer fun, it didn’t benefit at all from the sort of publicity that went along with the investigation. You can argue that it will benefit in the ratings with this special, but that was a gamble given that if something serious happened, things could’ve been so much worse. We don’t think that it was a gamble ABC would ever want to willingly take.

Do you think that Corinne returning for the Bachelor in Paradise reunion is a good idea, or a terrible decision? Be sure to share below!
