Ink Master season 9: Cleen Rock One, Aaron Is returning; representing Golden Skull Tattoo

Cleen Rock OneInk Master season 9 revealed one of its latest twists on Tuesday night’s episode, and it’s a big one: Contestants from past seasons are returning to the show for another kick at the can! Tonight, you had a chance to see that with Bubba as a part of the shop Old Town Ink, and we’ve already gotten a sneak peek at two of the other artists coming onto the competition… and this is a team that’s going to be incredibly hard to beat.

In a post on Twitter, season 5 alum Aaron Is tweeted out that he and two-time finalist Cleen Rock One are going to be coming back on the show; there’s no confirmation that it will be next week’s episode, but knowing that these two are coming back as a team should be enough to get fans excited! If this tweet doesn’t convince you that the two are coming back together, the background of the image should as this is the same background that the other artists this season have for their own promotional photos.

Aaron placed sixth all the way back in season 5, and was certainly one of those artists that you could see coming back on a future season and winning the whole thing. Meanwhile, Cleen is easily one of the most popular artists in the history of the show, performing very well on his two separate seasons. These are two artists that the other artists should be very worried about, and they probably will be when they emerge in the competition.

As for the tattoo shop that the two of them are representing, it’s Cleen Rock’s own Las Vegas shop called Golden Skull Tattoo. Obviously, this name feels like an homage in some way to the Ink Master franchise — after all, golden skull picks are a key part of every Ink Master season. Clearly, the franchise is near and dear to his heart, which explains why he’d want to come back for a third time and promote his shop.

Third times the charm – is this his season to win? With Aaron as a partner it certainly doubles the chances since these two are both exceptional artists. With their extensive resumes, it’s certainly possible they will take home the title, but the fun will be seeing how these two collaborate and work together all season.
