The Flash season 4, Supergirl season 3, Riverdale premiere dates official

Today, The CW confirmed their full premiere dates for the upcoming fall season, and with that confirmed some of the news that had been fluttering around the internet.

The first thing worth noting about this schedule is that this is the first time in recent memory that the show actually premiered its Monday shows before anything later in the week. This is standard operating procedure for some other networks, but not so much with this one.

All times listed below are Eastern, so adjust accordingly for more information.

Monday, October 9

8:00 – Supergirl (The CW)

9:00 – Valor (new series, The CW)

Tuesday, October 10

8:00 – The Flash (The CW)

9:00 – Legends of Tomorrow (The CW)

Wednesday, October 11

8:00 – Riverdale (The CW)

9:00 – Dynasty (new series, The CW)

Thursday, October 12

8:00 – Supernatural (The CW)

9:00 – Arrow (The CW)

Friday, October 13

8:00 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW)

9:00 – Jane the Virgin (The CW)

As for some other early observations, this is the latest premiere date that we’ve seen for The Flash and Arrow, which may be a good thing in that it could reduce the length of the hiatuses that the shows have during the season presumably. What’s also interesting here is that this is also the first time in recent memory that The CW premiered all of its shows on the same week. Hopefully, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend / Jane the Virgin survive having one of the most unlucky premiere dates known to mankind.

The biggest risk on the schedule is the Wednesday night lineup of Riverdale and new drama Dynasty, given that The CW seems to be trading out ratings growth here for a lineup of two similar shows.

A little bit later this summer, maybe you will get a chance to see some further previews for this lineup. The thing to remember right now is that these shows are not even filming yet (beyond a pilot for the new shows), so there isn’t really all that much to highlight at the moment.
