Fear the Walking Dead season 3: Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey on changes

Fear the Walking Dead season 3 is finally premiering on Sunday night. Are you ready to see what lies ahead for some of these characters?

In the new behind-the-scenes featurette below previewing the upcoming third season of the show, you can see the likes of Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and the rest of the cast discussing at length some of what is coming, mostly through the lens of the characters that they’ve been so far and the journey that is coming up for all of them. Think along the lines of Debnam-Carey’s Alicia as the teenager from the first season, in contrast to the hardened person she’s become today. On the flip side, Dickens’ Madison is now facing being this leader that was always within her, but one that is effectively forced out of her thanks to the circumstances.

There are some characters who have found themselves for better or for worse as a part of being in this world. Take, for example, Nick — he’s someone who is actually well-suited to thrive in this sort of chaos, but he’s in the midst of a new crisis now where one of the few people he’s come to care about finds themselves in grace danger and their life hanging in the balance.

Season 3 is going to be about exploring the humanity of these characters, as well as establishing their respective identities once and for all. For example, look at someone like Travis who went through a great deal in season 2 with the loss of Chris; he’s now a very different person, and the arc ahead could help solidify this. In the midst of all of this self-exploration, what makes the show all the more interesting and chaotic now i that there is also this uncertainty thanks to the zombies and human threats out there. Nobody can ever feel safe, and it doesn’t quite matter where you are in the world.
