Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles’ story

Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers

The first Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers are located within this piece, and they feature resolution on many levels for Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and the remainder of the cast.

In some ways, this is a story told in parts. The first part looks to be a chance for a showdown with the British Men of Letters. They’ve remained in the forefront through much of the season, challenging and frustrating at the same time. They’ve long served as a significant thorn in the side of the Winchesters. Coming to terms with this story is significant to the future of the season.

Season 12, episode 22, “Who We Are” synopsis – “Caught in a dangerous situation, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) only have each other to rely on. Meanwhile, the fight between the American Hunters and the British Hunters comes to a head.”

Does this synopsis indicate the end of the British Men of Letters? We would advice not to jump to hasty conclusions; nonetheless, the indications of the show moving forward are there.

Season 12 finale, “All Along the Watchtower” – “Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) battles Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) for control of his unborn child.”

This, meanwhile, highlights the other part of the story, and the significant matter to address in Lucifer’s unborn child. Getting Pellegrino back is a gift akin to Dean singing karaoke or getting a Chuck reference in season 12. It could also serve as an ideal cliffhanger depending on what Andrew Dabb, Robert Singer, and the remainder of the writers want.

If recent history serves as the blueprint, the expectation for the Supernatural finale is to resolve the stories of the current season, while providing a tease for what’s next. Prior to season 11, darkness started to roll into town. Meanwhile, the season 11 cliffhanger offered up the return of Mary Winchester and the setup to the British Men of Letters via Lady Toni. This is the first cliffhanger that Dabb and Singer can cultivate as showrunners in their own write. Fingers crossed for something insane, something heartfelt, and something that captures the awesome essence of what Supernatural is — a story of two brothers trying to make it in the world despite the craziness they inhabit.
