Chicago Med season 2 spoilers: Meet Will Halstead’s father!
Per a report from TVLine, Louis Herthum of Westworld is going to be appearing in an upcoming episode of Chicago Med as the character, and what this means is that you’re also going to be getting a little bit of Jay Halstead, as well! Be prepared to see Jesse Lee Soffer turning up in the episode, which is going to give you a good bit of family drama.
Specifically, what you should be wondering is whether or not Papa Halstead has done a good enough job taking care of himself. There will be a little bit of drama that plays out as a result of that, and hopefully everyone will get on the same page by the time the story is over.
For the time being, we do know that there is absolutely a great deal of stuff that the Halstead brothers have going on. For example, we’ve got Jay dealing with some relationship trouble with Erin Lindsay when Chicago PD returns on Wednesday night — an ex from his past will be turning up, but this is not someone that Erin remembers him mentioning previously. This, in turn, makes her wonder if there is something that her boyfriend has been keeping from her. Even if it’s not intentional, you want to think that you are a part of your significant other’s world. This isn’t something that she is feeling at the moment.
Meanwhile, will Halstead’s trouble on the next new Chicago Med episode could end up revolving around some unresolved issues that he and Natalie Manning have … and they could have some romantic undertones. Nina Shore already suspects that something is being unspoken between the two of them, and we don’t think that she’s going to take all that well to seeing the two of them embrace. It’s something that was showcased in the promo for the episode, and that could just be a precursor for more to come down the road. Do we ‘ship Natalie and Will together? Absolutely, but we don’t want to see anyone get hurt in the process, especially since Nina’s been good to him and even helped him with his financial trouble.

I recall Jay mentioning their dad on PD in that episode where Will was introduced. I got the vibe that Jay had a much bigger falling out with their dad than Will did.
