Chicago PD season 4 spoilers: Tracy Spiridakos set to recur

Tracy Spiridakos -

As we get near the end of Chicago PD season 4, you’re going to have a chance to see another familiar face — Tracy Spiridakos of Revolution will be taking on a recurring role!

NBC confirms that the actress will be playing the part of Detective Hailey Upton of the Robbery Homicide Unit starting in early May. Her character is described as “someone with killer instincts, humor, and smarts. Always clocking in overtime, she got her detective shield meritoriously on the heels of an undercover assignment that is still shrouded in secrecy, and as a result has had to prove herself to those who thought she didn’t earn the detective promotion.  She’s not afraid to be the lone female in the boys club.  She’ll clash with Voight over control of a case but for the sake of solving it, they set aside their differences to work together.  Voight says if she’s ever interested in Intelligence, he has a spot for her.”

Does the latter part of that statement mean that she could be set for something further with the show? You have to consider it possible. We’ve certainly seen already there be some arrivals and departures within the cage at Intelligence (just look at Kenny Rixton earlier this year, what happened with Roman, or Burgess getting the call up), and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. Maybe it’s possible you see Tracy Spiridakos on Chicago PD season 5, though for the record the show hasn’t been renewed officially just yet. We should know something on the subject over the course of the next several weeks.

Ever since playing Charlie on Revolution, Spiridakos has remained busy, having appeared in several episodes of Bates Motel over on A&E. Meanwhile, she’s also made several appearances this season on MacGyver in the role of Nikki, the title character’s former lover and potential adversary. The Chicago PD gig marks a chance to do something a little bit different once again.

After a hiatus for the past several weeks, new episodes of Chicago PD are going to officially resume airing on Wednesday night. In the event you want to get some further news about them, head over to the link here! That’s where we break down individually the next three episodes that are set to come on NBC.
