Is Law & Order: SVU new tonight? A look at season 18 episode 13 and the future

Is Law & Order: SVU new tonight on NBC? It’s fair to ask the question; we just wish that there was some better news to report your way.

The unfortunate news is that yet again tonight (it’s happened for a couple of weeks now), there’s not going to be a new installment to dive into and enjoy. There is one more week of hiatus to get through, and once we’re on the other side of it, we can start to rejoice with an opportunity to check out some new installments for the next few weeks.

With that in mind, we figured that within this article, we’d present to you a guide as to everything that looks to be coming up for the show.

Season 18 episode 13, “Genetics” (March 22) – Can someone be genetically predisposed to commit rape? This is what a man at the center of this story is going to proclaim, much to the skepticism of Olivia Benson and the rest of the SVU team.

Season 18 episode 14, “Net Worth” (March 29) – Missy Peregrym will guest star as an investment banker who accuses a billionaire client of rape.

Season 18 episode 15, “Know It All” (April 5) – A man under investigation for rape and murder will try and threaten to expose the secrets of everyone working on the case.

Following this episode, listings from the Futon Critic suggests that there will be another brief hiatus until April 24, which is when the show will air new episodes for the remainder of the season until May 24, which would give you a two-hour finale. Note that these listings aren’t official, though we have heard something about a two-part finale already. If this is true, it would give season 18 in total 21 episodes. (There were 22 ordered, but “Unstoppable” seems unlikely to air that this point — had NBC intended to do so, you have to think that they would’ve chosen to by now. There’s even an episode of The Good Fight out there inspired by the episode — ironic given that SVU looks to the headlines for many of its own cases.)
