Madam Secretary season 3, episode 15 preview: ‘Break in Diplomacy’
How will Madam Secretary season 3, episode 15 follow up the events of tonight’s installment? That’s what we are here to try and promote tonight courtesy of CBS! “Break in Diplomacy” is the name for the hour, and early expectations here are that we’re taking a page from real-life headlines.
If you recall, the president of the Philippines in life had some rather controversial things to say about Barack Obama during his final months as Commander-in-Chief. On this show, we’re going to see the series’ own version of the world leader, and he’s going to be every bit as controversial and outspoken as the real-life counterpart. This should make for a compelling
Synopsis – “Elizabeth is shocked when the Philippines’ unconventional new president, Datu Andrada (Joel de la Fuente), makes a pass at her during their meeting to discuss his refusal to participate in an Asia-Pacific territory treaty. Also, Elizabeth asks Jay to look into Kevin Park’s CIA connections, and Henry fears for his operative who is embedded in the religious cult when he goes radio silent.”
Obviously, the meat of this episode is probably going to come courtesy of everything going on with the new president overseas, especially since his actions put Elizabeth in a very difficult situation. How do you find a way to be respectful of someone who is being disrespectful of your marriage and who you are as a person? It takes a lot of courage, and a lot of confidence to ensure that you hold true to your values while also being politically sound.
As for the Kevin Park story, this seems to be a slow burn. Maybe we’ll get the answer as to what he’s up to in this episode, or maybe it’ll take another week or two. At the moment, it may still be a little early to tell.
