‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 14 preview: The quest to save Jeffrey Mace

Jason O'Mara -

In the early going on Tuesday night’s new episode of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” things were not going well for Jeffrey Mace as he learned a thing or two about what the injections were doing to his condition. Unfortunately, it just so turned out that this was just scratching the surface of his problems. The Director is going to be in some trouble, and as we move forward into the next new episode, there are going to be some further problems awaiting the man.

Let’s move forward now to talk specifically about what’s happening.

Synopsis – “Mace fights for his life while Coulson and team find themselves in a deadly cat-and-mouse game as they attempt his rescue.”

If there is one person within SHIELD we’d want looking for you, it’s Phil Coulson. Of course, you’d also probably want The Avengers to work along with you, but one of the things about this show that remains strange is just how detached they seem to be from it. (Can you imagine just how much it would detonate the budget to get one of them to turn up?)

We’re starting to get closer to the end of the LMD arc of the show, and with that, there are probably going to be a few surprises that the show has in store for us. Here’s to hoping that losing Mace is not one of them…

Promo – Mace’s life is not the only one that hangs in the balance. After all, this made it very much clear that there is also some danger that we are going to be seeing Coulson face as the Superior has made it clear that Phil must die. We don’t think that this is going to happen, but he could be putting our hero in some difficult positions where he must make some difficult choices.

To think, this is already a guy who has the weight of the world on his shoulders…
