‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: How Carl Lewis, Allyson Felix factor into date
Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor” is coming up before long on ABC, and judging from the latest sneak peek alone, it looks once more like physical competition is going to be a key part of the equation on one of the group dates.
The video below features several of Nick Viall’s remaining women getting a date card tipping them off that this particular date is coming up, and we gotta say that it’s somewhat STUNNING just how excited some of these women are about this. Don’t they realize that the majority of these dates are terrible? They quantify romance based on athletic ability, and allow people who are faster or stronger more opportunities for alone time. The only thing that we’re happy about is that this is at least not like the boxing dates where you literally have guys beating up on each other.
At least on this particular date, you’re going to be seeing Nick getting involved in some of the competition in his own way — and there will be some help courtesy of Olympians Carl Lewis, Michelle Carter, and Allyson Felix. Much like the date with the Backstreet Boys, there is a certain degree of star power on both of these … not that this really matters when it comes to finding love. It just gives the show something to fall back on in the event that things get boring, and this one probably has more “boring” potential than anything that happens with the Backstreet Boys. At least on that one, you’ve got some of the bigger fire-starters on the season.
We’ll see what happens on the show tonight with this date, as we’ll be back to give our full account of what happens in our review. For those who haven’t heard, all indications suggest that Vanessa Grimaldi will get the one-on-one date.
