‘Homeland’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Carrie’s battle; Quinn’s adjustment period

Carrie and Saul -

Tonight on Showtime, “Homeland” season 6 officially came on the air with an episode that was in some many ways all about new beginnings. This installment effectively allowed for the opportunity to chart the progress made by Carrie Mathison in her life since the last opportunity in which we had to see her; yet, at the same exact time it also started to set in motion some of the stories with home-grown terrorism and also the dealings between Saul, Dar Adal, and President-elect Keane, a woman who they are quickly realizing is not altogether easy to work with.

As it turns out Keane may be far more of a challenge than these two men once thought; based on the already-released information from episode 2 courtesy of Showtime, she’s got a few skeletons in her closet that are going to be brought to life fairly soon.

Synopsis – “Carrie and Reda fight for their client while Quinn fights against his new life. Saul and Dar suspect Keane has a secret.”

So how are the stories for Carrie and Saul going to come together? As of right now, the photo above is a good source of comfort that the two will be having some sort of conversation in the episode — but the look on Carrie’s face (where is she looking?) is certainly somewhat concerning.

Promo – So what are we going to be seeing on this episode beyond what we’ve said so far? Well, let’s just say that Saul and Dar are extremely concerned about Keane’s behavior and what it means to America. Carrie will struggle with advising her latest case, and we’re also going to have a chance to see Quinn rebel against taking his medication. At the moment, it certainly seems like he is resistant to the idea of even living. If the entire season ends up being like what we’re seeing here, odds are that the story is in extremely good hands moving forward.
