‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 14 preview: The mole kidnaps an agent; Hetty in the wind

NCISEvery indication we’ve gotten over the past few weeks was that “NCIS: Los Angeles” was going to be getting more and more crazy as time went on, and we do absolutely hope that this ends up being true when it comes to the mole. This is a story we’re eager to have even more answers on, and we have a feeling that almost everything is going to becoming clear very soon.

With that, we present you with a few more of the first details for the next episode, which carries with it the title of “Under Siege.” Let’s also go ahead and pass along the bad news here: This episode is not going to be airing until January 29. If something crazy or super-intense happens tonight on the CBS show, this date may be even more frustrating since you’re left to spend several weeks staring at your television and shaking your head in disdain.

Synopsis – “Hetty goes rogue, leaving the NCIS team completely in the dark, and the mole kidnaps one of the agents.”

Yes, that’s a super-short synopsis, and we say that even knowing that this is not necessarily a shown known for its long ones. The exciting thing about this clearly is that “NCIS: Los Angeles” is really holding nothing back when it comes to making things serialized, at least for the time being. It wants to give you a story that is a little more straightforward, and that makes sense when you consider the trajectory of the mole as an adversary so far. Would you really want to get this far into this particular saga, only to then see it sidelined until we get into either the thick of February sweeps or the finale? This is something that many networks would probably do, just because they want those spikes in ratings and in buzz.

Well, here’s a novel thought: If you tell a strong enough story, there’s a pretty good chance that you’re going to get a lot of that buzz in the first place. Having almost the entire team in prison is a pretty good start with that.
