‘Blindspot’ season 2, episode 12 spoilers: Roman and a biker gang

Blindspot -On tonight’s new episode of “Blindspot,” there’s going to be a good bit of talk about tattoos, blueprints, and a deadly bombing that could be enormous trouble for everyone in New York City, let alone the members of the team. It’s potentially a large-scale case, and something this high-octane does seem oddly the perfect compliment to the smaller, more-intimate personal story of Patterson that the NBC series brought to the table last week.

Now, if you’re wondering precisely what’s coming up next, it looks as though one of the biggest things you can expect to see is an undercover case really like no other that the show’s exposed us to so far in the run.

Synopsis – “When an unusual tattoo leads back to Roman (Luke Mitchell), the team must decide whether to send him into the field…to go undercover with a dangerous biker gang.”

This may not be a lot of advance information, but it’s certainly interesting given that we could see a little bit of “Blindspot” meets “Sons of Anarchy,” which may prove to be an exciting case given all of the questions regarding whether or not Roman is ready to take something like this on. It wasn’t that long ago that the wipe occurred, and there are still questions regarding precisely where his head is at.

Nonetheless, we do like the idea of a tattoo leading back to another specific character on the show beyond Weller, and biker gangs are always fun — at least for us as a viewer. We’re not sure that we’ll love this episode based on its own story, or if we’ll just love it because it will inevitably get us more excited for the “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off “Mayans MC” that is coming up a little bit down the line.

Promo – This does set up the dilemma for Jane and the rest of the team pretty perfectly: In order to stop a major attack, Roman is going to have to revisit a part of his past and potentially a mystery woman named Kat Jarrett. However, at the same time we just saw him be diagnosed in such a way that he should be spending the remainder of his life in an institution.
