‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 9 video: Aida’s upgrades in action

Going into the next part of “Agents of SHIELD” season 4, it was fair to wonder as to how much patience Aida was going to have when it comes to keeping her secret plan under wraps. After all, she’s shown to be able to play the role perfectly designed by Radcliffe to date, and nobody suspects anything about an Ultron 2.0 plan starting to take shape.

Well, this is where things start to get a little bit more interesting. In the sneak peek below, it starts to become clear that Aida isn’t exactly being altogether patient. The moment that she realizes that Fitz may have some suspicions, she acts — announcing that she’s made some “upgrades” of her own before quickly acting physically. We’re not entirely sure why she would, given that there were way more people in the room and only one of her, but who knows? Maybe one of those upgrades she installed was the ability to become the next Bruce Lee.

There are still so many questions when it comes to the next part of the season, but one of the biggest ones clearly is precisely what in the world her endgame is. What is it that an LMD could possibly want, and is there a way in which to either determine this, or stop her even without realizing it? Part of what makes Aida so intriguing as a Bid Bad sort of character entering the next part of the season is that she is so inherently different than almost any other villain the team has placed. How can you judge or predict someone who isn’t entirely human?

There is also one other clear problem that we haven’t quite mentioned in here, and that is Melinda May. It’s not entirely clear how this story will unfold, but we have to imagine that it’s going to cause some serious problems for Coulson when he realizes that he is effectively getting close to a robot.
