‘Timeless’ episode 11 preview: Visiting the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago

Timeless -We knew that there would be an episode of “Timeless” coming up over the course of the first season that would feature many of the show’s main characters traveling through time to the famed World’s Fair in Chicago, and we’re now rather pleased to have confirmation as to when this episode will air.

NBC confirmed on Tuesday that this installment, which contain appearances from H.H. Holmes as well as Harry Houdini, is going to be appearing on Monday, January 16 — in other words, this will be the very next episode on the air! The title is “The World’s Columbian Exposition,” and the synopsis for what you can expect to see from the story is below:

“Lucy’s (Abigail Spencer) situation grows desperate after she’s taken captive by Flynn (Goran Visnjic) and brought to the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. In their dogged pursuit of Lucy, Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) fall into a sinister trap.”

What we imagine happened to the latter two characters is probably tied in some way into Holmes, given what we know about the man so far, especially in terms of him being one of the country’s first documented serial killers. Houdini on paper sounds as though he will be a little more fun, but in many ways our excitement for him could be muted simply due to the fact that we are going to be spending the majority of this episode trying to figure more and more things out when it comes to whether or not Flynn can be stopped and Lucy can be brought back to her friends. Given that there are still several episodes still to come this season, it would be nice to see a certain amount of time spent yet again with the original three time-travelers still together.
