NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale: Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Sting to perform

VoiceThe finale of “The Voice” is going to be coming up within the next few days, and based on some of the earliest reports that are out there, it looks pretty clear that we’ve got an exciting lineup ahead!

In a post on Twitter, the NBC show confirmed that for the upcoming grand finale for the finale on Tuesday, the likes of Bruno Mars, Sting, and The Weeknd will be turning up, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that this show does have a good habit of continually finding a booking great guests to perform at the final show of the season. There’s nothing to really dislike about this crew in particular, even though we do wish at times that the show went a little bit more insular and promoted more artists who were recently a part of the show. We just realize that this doesn’t happen much since it’s hard to build buzz for these people beyond viewers who are already planning to watch the show in the first place.

One interesting factoid here is that this will be the second performance from The Weeknd on a singing-show finale in two days, given that we just saw him perform earlier on the Saturday edition of the “X Factor” final. The only difference here is that he could be focusing a little bit more exclusively on his song “Starboy.”

The four artists remaining this season are Billy Gilman, We McDonald, Sundance Head, and Josh Gallagher. There’s a lot of country in there! While they will all have a chance to do some further performances, we’re also going to see some group numbers, some coach performances, and a few other surprises. Format-wise, we don’t imagine that the show is going to change up too much from the past several years.
