‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 midseason finale video: Tara, Olivia prepare for the worst
The midseason finale for “The Walking Dead” is going to be coming your way on Sunday night, and judging from where we left off, Olivia’s in some pretty deep trouble. We don’t know how you can say anything otherwise!
At the end of this past episode, we saw the character, who was looking after Judith, receive some unexpected guests in Negan and Carl. The latter’s fine; the former? Not so much. There’s no telling precisely what he’ll do while he waits for Rick to arrive, but we certainly do not imagine that his plans are sweet and innocent. He recognizes the fact that Carl was coming up to the Sanctuary in order to try and kill him, and he may also now recognize that there are some other people with plans in Alexandria. The town could be the toughest one to contain out of any that he has encountered ever since he first set up his empire. They just won’t stop rebelling and soon Negan’s going to run out of people to kill to prove how tough he is.
In the sneak peek below, you can see Tara doing what she can in order to offer some support to Olivia, which to us really shows you what kind of person she is. She just lost someone she loved in Denise, and even though she’s been through this before, we have to imagine that it never gets easier. The pain from her past is still there, and she needs to figure out if there is a way to continue to put her best foot forward in a town that has descended into chaos and fear.
If we are worried about one person more than anyone else on this show, it’s Olivia. Suddenly, she’s got a larger role in the story, and while we don’t think Negan would kill a woman, at the same time he could easily get another lackey to do it. There really are no clearly-defined rules when you’re sitting at the top, but when it comes to this season of the show, murder and violence seem to be the top choice on the menu.
