‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10, episode 8 preview: Could Sheldon, Amy have a baby
It was only a few episodes ago that Sheldon and Amy started living together on “The Big Bang Theory.” Therefore, it does seem a little bit strange to start to think of the two of them starting to think about children so soon … or, is it really that strange at all? This is a relationship that doesn’t exactly follow the beaten path, and it may just be that Sheldon isn’t thinking about kids so much for personal concerns. He may want to do it for whatever he considers to be the potential gain of all humankind. Remember, this is a man who loves good DNA — he nearly lost his mind when he had Leonard Nimoy’s earlier in the series’ run.
All of this play out next week on “The Brain Bowl Incubation,” the eighth episode of the season and one that could also give you one of our most-substantial Raj storylines of the entire season to date.
Synopsis – “After a successful experiment combining their genes, Sheldon will stop at nothing to convince Amy they should procreate. Also, Koothrappali is embarrassed to tell the gang what the new woman he’s dating does for a living.”
If you recall, earlier this season Raj revealed that his relationships with Emily and Claire were both over, and while we wish that we’d had a chance to see this play out onscreen, we did appreciate the way that it came about during a surprisingly-meaningful conversation with Stuart in Howard and Bernadette’s hot tub. He was embarrassed by the way in which they ended, and didn’t want to bring it up to the rest of the group. Now, he’s feeling embarrassment in a completely different way. We do understand any particular fear that he has, mostly because many of his friends are the poster children for judgment. Just look at the behavior patterns of Sheldon towards anything and anyone he perceives to be different.
