Presidential Debate 2016: Rosie O’Donnell, Sean Hannity among TV stars mentioned in Donald Trump – Hillary Clinton ‘chat’

NBCTonight, the Presidential Debate on NBC brought a wide array of drama to the table, frequent live-tweeting, and arguably some of the biggest viewing audiences we’ve ever seen. Lester Holt of NBC was the moderator for this said event, and he spent the vast majority of the hour and a half trying to wrangle Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump into answering tough questions.

We’re not here so much to talk about who won or the politics and whatnot — that’s not our goal here at the site. Instead, we want to focus on some of the notable TV names who were brought into the picture.

Sean Hannity – The Fox News host was referenced repeatedly by Trump has he argued for a stance that had been vastly misinterpreted in his mind by the media. Trump makes frequent appearances on his show to this day.

Rosie O’Donnell – The former panelist on “The View” was referenced numerous times, in particular during conversations regarding Trump’s history of comments towards women. We figured that she would be brought up at some point during the debates, but so soon? That is certainly a surprise.

Howard Stern – It was on Howard Stern’s show that Trump’s comments on the War and Iraq first surfaced, and that caused a great deal of back and forth over the course of the event.

As a whole, you cannot argue against the debate being tremendous television, given that there are few things as dramatic or that have the same sort of stakes. We don’t want to take any sides here, but we have the utmost sympathy for Holt for trying his best to keep it together during all of that.
