‘Supergirl’ season 2 video: See Kara, Clark Kent teaming up together!

The second season of “Supergirl” may be a couple of weeks away from premiering, but we’ve already got for you a new sneak peek that offers up some key insight into not only what Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman will be like, but also what the relationship is between him and the title character.

This preview (via Entertainment Weekly) starts off with Hoechlin as Clark Kent, dealing with some frustrations courtesy of his boss when he learns that there is a massive need for his help in an effort to stop a mass tragedy. Kara gets the same message on television (news programs really are a good source for these heroes), and it leads the two of them to team up together in an effort to bring everyone to safety. Plot-wise, there’s not a whole lot to go on here, but this does show further that these two really are stronger together and are capable of really amazing feats.

Over the course of the first two episodes in particular we’re going to see a lot of Clark / Superman, as we will see National City be in need of some serious heroism. At some point the President (Lynda Carter, “Wonder Woman”) is going to be involved, and you have to take that as a pretty massive sign that we are looking at some serious business here.

The show is coming your way on Monday, October 10, and hopefully we’ll have some further news all about it before then.
