‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: The new plan; a James debate

James -

We all thought it was funny a couple of weeks ago when James claimed that he was running the “Big Brother” house. That claim was corrected, given that at the time, it was Paulie hands-down who was making things happen.

Well, maybe James just made his proclamation a couple of weeks too early. This week, James really is the person running the show, and making the decision as to who stays and who goes. While this may work out for him for the time being, we feel almost no matter what that he is going to be a much bigger target coming out of this week than he was going into it.

He and Natalie decided yesterday even before the Veto Competition that they were going to target Paul, going back on their previous plan to take out Corey that they had established the night before. James was one of the reasons why they pulled back from going after Nicole / Corey, and after Paul won the Veto, he seems to be now more of the driving force behind taking out Victor.

For now, the idea seems to be to have it be a blindside, at least until close to the last minute. They’re letting Paul and Victor think they are still with them when they’re not, which is pretty classic “Big Brother” strategy. If this was a case of likable people taking out unlikable people, we’d all be for it; it just stinks when it is likable people saving unlikable people over someone in Victor who may be one of the most-popular players on the season right now.

The one reason why this may be a bad move is because someone’s returning to the game, and that someone could be Paulie. If James / Natalie’s decision allows Paulie to reunite with Nicole and Corey, that’s scary to the endgame of the season. Unfortunately, we don’t think either one of them has the foresight or “Big Brother” know-how to think for sure that there will be someone coming back.
