‘The 100’ season 4 wishlist: What we’d like to see for Clarke, overall story
The story for “The 100” on The CW looks to be over for a rather long time now. The finale aired on Thursday night, and with the show not turning up on the midseason schedule, it’s looking as though it could be January at the very earliest before the show starts back.
So with that, we’ve got a lot of time to sit around and contemplate as to precisely what we’d like to see in the near future … think of this list as a little bit of starting-off point. There are some things that seem fairly obvious to us, at least in terms of avoiding pitfalls and also creating some interesting new stories to give Eliza Taylor and the rest of the cast some great stuff to work with.
1. No relationship for Clarke – Lexa and Finn are really enough for now when it comes to notable love interests. We’re not saying that she never needs one again, but we’d wait a season before going back into this territory. Given the fragile state of the world (and really beyond) at the moment, is that much of a reason to hurry things along? Having Clarke take more of a leadership position may be a little bit more of a fascinating story direction for the character.
2. Can Clarke become half-Nightblood? – Is it possible that she can become a supreme ruler, and uniter of all the clans, including Arkadia? At the moment, it’s fairly clear that there is a new Commander … but there definitely are not options. If there’s one person who could bring many of these people together, it’s Clarke, so finding a way to turn her almost into a hybrid could be an interesting idea for the future.
3. Keep the nuclear story going, but concentrate it – If this current cliffhanger is about to destroy the whole planet, that seems a little bit unwieldy for this current cast of characters to stop nuclear problems all over the world. We’d focus in more on North America, that way there is a crisis that is extreme, but at the same time not beyond the realm of possibility for our crew to stop it. It’s all about pacing, and ensuring you have the right people for the cause.

Considering that at least half Clarke’s blood was cycled most likely more, becoming a hybrid is vertually garanteed, or should be. That would permit her to accept the flame . It would allow her to unite the 13 tribes, before opening Arkadia as the new seat of powre, while overcoming unseemly intrigue before setting out to encounter other peoples both friendly and hostile. It’d be interesting to witness the changes internal and external as Clarke adjust to the flame, and the history therein.
