‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2: Premiere date chatter, other expectations for superhero drama
Tonight, the first season of “Legends of Tomorrow” is going to be coming to a close on The CW, and one of the big surprises that we got from upfronts earlier today is that you’re not going to have to wait too long to see the second season of the show premiere.
In part due to when the network decided to premiere the first season, there was a major part of us that wondered whether or not this was going to become almost standard for the network moving forward. Was it going to become a tradition for the likes of Brandon Routh and Caity Lotz to come back in January? As it turns out, that’s not the case. Season 2 will be premiering on Thursday nights this fall, and to go along with that, it’s going to be paired with a longtime CW fan favorite in “Supernatural.”
While there is no specific premiere date just yet, the tendency for the past couple of years for the show has to been to launch their big properties when we get around to the first or second week of October, that way they are not competing directly against the other major networks. Also, that leads to there also not being as many big hiatuses in between.
We imagine that there will be more to report on story-wise when it comes to the show after the season 1 finale airs, but all indications that are out there suggest that we’ll get a pretty significant tease courtesy of a mystery character, played super-effectively by “Suits” star Patrick J. Adams.
