‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 4 reaction: Sophie Turner on Sansa’s powerful scene

There were several big moments on this weekend’s new episode of “Game of Thrones,” but for the time being, one still seems to be head and shoulders above the others is Sansa Stark coming face-to-face with Jon Snow. It’s a moment that has been five years in the making; it was really the first season when we had so many members of House Stark in one place.

As you would expect, there was a lot of emotion that came out of this moment, if for no other reason than that these are people who know each other from press tours and the like, but haven’t really had that much of a chance to be onscreen together. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, Sophie Turner had the following to say about this great scene:

“It’s such an emotional moment … She finally made it to Castle Black. And there’s this look where they’re just studying each other’s faces, with no expression. Then there’s this long embrace. It’s just awesome.”

Will this emotional moment become so much more? We feel like there’s an epic story that is brewing with these characters, and they can use their shared experience in order to take back some of what matters to them. At the top of that list could be Winterfell, given its tie to them and House Stark and also the horrors that we have seen over time courtesy of Ramsay. We’ll just has to see what happens in the coming weeks.
