‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 21 preview: ‘The Runaway Dinosaur’ and an MIA Barry Allen

FlashNext week’s new episode of “The Flash” certainly looks as though it could be a strange one. After all, Barry Allen is going to be in an unusual place, and we’re also going to have a return of a meta-human in Girder who we have not seen in quite a long time.

Take a look at the synopsis below if you’re curious in getting at least some preliminary details:

“With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life.”

This is one of the shorter synopses that we’ve had a chance to see this season, and we have to imagine that one of the reasons why we’re getting something of this lengthy is simply due to the fact that we’re only a few weeks away from the finale. There are so many surprises still coming up, and this show doesn’t want to bear the responsibility (and understandably so) of giving something away.

The promo below does a good job setting up this particularly odd situation, one where Barry is still alive, but seemingly trapped in some other world. It’s going to be up to the team to pinpoint and find him, and that could prove itself to be no easy task.
