‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6 reunion (part 2) review: Multiple spotlights on Lisa Vanderpump

lisa vanderpumpWhen looking at Tuesday night’s second part of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion, we’d say that there were at least parts of it that turned out to be not entirely awful. This is a sentiment that we’ve definitely felt at times through this season, which has really been all about meddling with other people’s health problems.

It is Yolanda Hadid who has been on the receiving end of this more than anyone else, and after a lengthy discussion about it in part two we weren’t shocked to see her leave the discussion and go to her dressing room. For Lisa Rinna to do it later, though, just felt like it was just to create another moment; we really don’t even care who is right or wrong between her or Lisa Vanderpump, since both of them should just be eager to move on since the vast majority of people seem to feel as though Yolanda was being genuine the entire time over Lyme disease.

Part 2 of the “discussing health problems” came courtesy of Kim Richards, and this conversation was actually somewhat enlightening since she hasn’t been a huge part of the show this season. We were fine with her not wanting to discuss too much about her recovery on the show, mostly because it’s really not any of our business in the end. She’s going to do whatever is best for her, and hopefully that means getting better. We wish her the best.

Vanderpump was again put on the spotlight over whether or not she was intentionally stirring things up by talking so much about Eileen Davidson’s marriage and her history, and here, we do think that the answer to the question is “of course.” It’s a TV show! Lisa is probably cognizant of that and knows what buttons to push. The difference between her and some other people in our mind is that we don’t think she is always intentionally malicious just as much as she likes to stir things up. Still, the whole argument is blown way out of proportion, and we almost wish that we kept with Kim or had some more Erika Jayne silliness.

There’s only one more part of the reunion left, so hopefully, it ends on an interesting note. Episode grade: B-.
