‘Supergirl’ episode 18 preview: Melissa Benoist, Grant Gustin, and the Silver Banshee
Next week, “Supergirl” is going to be bringing you the episode that almost everyone out there has been waiting for: The big crossover with “The Flash”! Granted, we know that there are some viewers who don’t watch both shows, but have no fear if you’re one of them: Don’t think of this so much as an hour of pure fan service. It’s still an interesting comic-book character, and the installment (entitled “Worlds Finest”) is being written to appeal to all crowds. There’s enough information for a “Supergirl” fan only to stay atune to the story, but also enough “Flash” references to please a fan of the CW show.
If you haven’t seen the synopsis below yet, it gives you a few more details regarding the villains of the hour, including Siobhan’s new form the Silver Banshee:
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
In the end, expect some awesome stuff in here from start to finish. It’ll be action-packed, funny, and a nice celebration of both shows. We also feel like it could be a little bit of a ratings boost to “Supergirl,” since “The Flash” has managed to develop probably the most-devoted audience among any superhero show on network TV (at least in the demo) as of late. We’ll, of course, have more news on this episode as it starts to come out.

I’m probably the only person that’s not looking forward to this crossover. I hate crossovers, they should theoretically be great, but in retrospect they’re all too much character and too little plot.
I enjoy Supergirl on its own, the last 2 episodes however have felt rushed, like they’ve tried to put too much into too little time and I can’t help thinking this crossover will be more of the same.
