‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ spoilers: What Mischa Barton, Marla Maples, Von Miller will dance to

DWTS -Tonight, “Dancing with the Stars” will return to ABC for its season 22 premiere, and with that of course we know that there will be a great deal of speculation / conversation about what the dancers are going to be performing. Luckily, we’re happy to have the official dance styles and song selections right now!

If you look below, you can see a full list of what everyone is doing, coupled with our brief take on all of them.

Mischa Barton & Artem Chigvintsev – tango – “In the Night” by The Weeknd. Good style choice for Mischa’s first routine, since she should be able to handle the drama of this dance really well. We’re not that familiar with this particular song.

Antonio Brown & Sharna Burgess – quickstep – “Bad Man” by Pitbull. Given that Brown is a wide receiver, he should be strong enough to handle this challenging dance, at least in terms of footwork, right away.

Nyle DiMarco & Peta Murgatroyd – cha cha – “Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE. We think this is a very good starter dance for Nyle, who easily has the biggest challenge this season due to his lack of hearing.

Kim Fields & Sasha Farber – cha cha – “Sax” by Fleur East. Given that Kim and Fleur have roughly the same hairstyle, isn’t this perfect?

Doug Flutie & Karina Smirnoff – fox trot – “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. It’s a beloved song and an elegant routine fora guy who can probably dress up well and hit the ballroom in fine fashion. Sharp choice.

Marla Maples & Tony Dovolani – quickstep – “Sparkling Diamonds” from “Moulin Rouge” soundtrack. We’re not sure that having to do a quickstep right away is really going to be the right choice for Marla.

Von Miller & Witney Carson – fox trot – “My House” by Flo Rida. Really? Flo Rida for this particular style of dance? It’s a little off, but Von can pull that off.

Wanya Morris & Lindsay Arnold – cha cha – “Motownphilly” by Boyz II Men. We already wonder just how many Boyz II Men songs Wanya is going to be able to do routines to over the course of the season.

Geraldo Rivera & Edyta Sliwinska – cha cha – “Treasure” by Bruno Mars. Geraldo really should’ve gotten the foxtrot or a waltz. There’s a very good chance that this is going to be a hot mess.

Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe – tango – “Confident” by Demi Lovato. We anticipate this being one of the night’s better routines; the tango suits Jodie well, and we think the song should work really well.

Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas – fox trot – “Ain’t Got Far To Go” by Jess Glynne. Paige is considered by many the frontrunner, and it really doesn’t matter what style she does here. She’ll probably succeed.

Ginger Zee & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – jive – “Move” from the musical “Dreamgirls.” For someone with little dance or entertainment experience, it seems almost cruel to make them go out there and do a routine this fast-paced.
