‘Supergirl’ episode 17 preview: ‘Manhunter’ leads to a J’onn J’onzz story

Tonight’s episode of “Supergirl” entitled “Falling” was a fairly big one, and we can certainly say the same thing about the upcoming crossover with “The Flash” entitled “Worlds Finest” in two weeks.

Because of all of the buzz surrounding Grant Gustin’s appearance, it is fair to say in some ways that next week’s “Manhunter” has fallen somewhat under the radar. Yet, it could be a really important episode as we start to figure out some more news regarding J’onn J’onzz, his past, and also how he fits into the world right now. The synopsis below gives you some further updates as to what to expect:

“J’onn J’onzz reveals the details of meeting Kara and Alex’s father, Dr. Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain), and assuming Hank Henshaw’s identity. Also, Kara debates trusting someone new with her secret identity and Siobhan (Italia Ricci) plots against Kara.”

Obviously based on what we saw tonight, the story for Siobhan is going to be quite the big deal. By the time we get to “Worlds Finest” the story of the Silver Banshee will be out in full force, and she will be even more dangerous than she will be in the road leading up to this episode. We do hope in the end that the Banshee does not completely overshadow the Martian Manhunter story, given that we do really like this storyline and we want this to stand out more so over anything else … at least in this hour of TV.
