‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 13 preview: Can Rick help save Carol and Maggie?

The next new episode of “The Walking Dead” is almost upon us, and there is one thing coming up in here that should surprise people (or not): Lives are hanging in the balance.

Specifically here, we’re talking about the lives of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Carol (Melissa McBride), who were captured by some of the Saviors at the end of this past episode. It’s still not entirely clear just how this happened, but it has and this group is proving itself to have an almost-unlimited arsenal of resources. (It at least seems that way given how many of them have already died, and how they just keep popping back up.)

It appears in the sneak peek below a tense hostage negotiation is coming, and this could be a chain of events that leads to the arrival of the one person who should be feared more so than anyone else: Negan. We’ve already come to learn just how powerful and violent he can be just by seeing his people operate, and also how Gregory operates out of fear for his people. It’s not often that we get such an interesting perspective thanks to seeing so many other people react to a character before we actually meet them. It’s a smart idea for the show, since it is establishing even more anticipation for this character than we would’ve had otherwise.
