‘Teen Wolf’ season 6: Premiere date speculation, hopes for MTV drama’s future

Tonight, you can expect to say farewell to “Teen Wolf” for quite a long time. This marks the season 5 finale, and while MTV may have ordered a sixth season a rather long time ago, it’s not premiering until this summer.

While we don’t have a precise date just yet for when the remaining episodes are going to air, it’s not too hard to speculate on it. Both season 4 and season 5 premiered in late June, and given the 20-episode order that the show has moving into the next season, it’s probably fair to expect the same sort of thing.

As for whether or not season 6 could be the last one for the show, there is no word just yet … but we have to be honest here in saying that we would not necessarily be surprised if it turned out to be the case. Let’s look quickly here at the evidence surrounding the show. The cast is all still young, and in theory it is possible that they could all want to go on and do some other things. Also, you have to consider that the show’s ratings are not what they once were, and the longer a show is made, the more expensive it is.

We do think that there are only so many years of this show left, and with that our hope is simple: No matter when the series just ends, we really hope that MTV is kind enough to make the final-season announcement in time to get us prepared.
