ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 11 video: Olivia gets blunt with Mellie Grant

At the end of this past episode of “Scandal,” Olivia Pope and Mellie Grant had an interesting meeting, one where it surprisingly was revealed that the two are going to be working together. The former First Lady wants to complete a run for the White House, and with that in mind, she realizes that she could need a little bit of help. She may not love Olivia, but at the same time she’s well aware of the tools that she has in her arsenal.

The sneak peek below is ultimately a little bit of further information on this subject, where Kerry Washington’s character made it extremely clear that if Mellie wants to win, she needs to come clean on … everything. This includes how she was feeling about the affair that was going on right under her nose.

As Mellie says, nobody compartmentalizes quite like Olivia does! Her job is to figure out a way for the public to rally behind Mellie, and it’s with that in mind that she knows the best way to have this happen is to get her to come clean on one of the most devastating times in her life. Sure, she may have been the one to have caused it, but at the end of the day it really does not matter all that much one way or another.

New episodes of “Scandal” are going to be continuing for quite some time, and it would be a gross understatement to say that we are excited and then some to see where this goes.
