‘Supergirl’ spoilers: First details on Laura Vandervoot appearance!

When it was first announced that Laura Vandervoot was going to be appearing on an upcoming episode of “Supergirl,” there was a reaction that was pretty much akin to the internet exploding. It was a chance to see the former “Smallville” Supergirl meet up with the woman now responsible for playing the character, with the big difference being now that Vandervoot is going to be playing a villain.

Specifically, Indigo is going to surface on the February 29 episode entitled “Solitude,” which the synopsis below sets up as being an extremely important episode from the standpoint of seeing the Fortress of Solitude for the first time:

“Kara travels to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude in hopes of learning how to defeat Indigo (Laura Vandervoort), a dangerous being who can transport via the Internet and who has a connection to Kara’s past. Also, James’s relationship with Lucy reaches a crossroads.”

While seeing Vandervoot is awesome, let’s spend a second here talking about the James – Lucy relationship. Didn’t anyone else out there see this one coming? For us, it was extremely simple when you consider how James has been set up as a Kara love interest, and how Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been set up primarily as a recurring guest star. Now that we’ve said all of this, we would certainly be game for Tatum to end up bringing Superwoman into action on the show at some point … even if we don’t exactly see much evidence of that happening at the moment.
