‘Supergirl’ episode 14 preview: Italia Ricci guest-stars in ‘Truth, Justice, and the American Way’
Tonight, “Supergirl” on CBS chose to take on a pretty iconic Superman story with a twist, and we certainly hope that it satisfied many of you who are out there.
Now that we’ve said that, let’s turn to the next new episode entitled “Truth, Justice, and the American Way.” Thanks in part to the Grammys, the episode will not air until we get around until February 22. As for what you can expect, this will mark the debut of Italia Ricci, and you’ll also get a chance to see a new villain entitled Master Jailer for the first time on the show:
“Supergirl does battle with the deadly Master Jailer (Jeff Branson), who is hunting and executing escaped Fort Rozz prisoners. Also, Cat hires a second assistant, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci), who immediately tries to one-up Kara, and Kara and James disagree over the DEO’s methods.”
Will this be the episode where Smythe becomes the Silver Banshee? That remains to be seen, but it should be an interesting role for her. It’s also pretty fun when it comes to timing, given that her fiance Robbie Amell will be appearing on “The Flash” this week as the Earth-2 version of Ronnie Raymond, a villain who goes by the name of Deathstorm. It would be nice to see an arc for a villain last for longer than an episode or two on this show, largely because this is not something that we really had a chance to see for most of the fall / early spring other than with Astra for a brief period of time.
