‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 25 preview: Riley, Lucas, Maya and ‘Girl Meets the New Year’

Girl Meets -Friday night’s “Girl Meets World” episode is going to be a particularly important one for fans. Have the past couple since “Girl Meets Texas” been for the most part filler? We’d say so, at least in that there was nothing in them that was hugely significant for either younger viewers or people who watch this show out of nostalgia.

However, this will all be changing on “Girl Meets the New Year” Friday night, an episode that is going to be, pending some last-minute surprise, the final episode of 2015 for the series. When we last left off, it was starting to become clear just how Maya felt about Lucas. However, Riley had decided to cover up some of her own feelings, thinking that her friend deserved to be happy and that she could therefore be happy for her. As a person, Riley is concerned very much in finding happiness for others (as many young people are), and she may have also been afraid to stand up for herself.

Is this going to change in the upcoming episode? We’re not going to spoil things one way or another, but you should know that this episode will be yet another game-changer when it comes to the relationship between these three characters. We do still think that Riley and Maya are going to put their friendship ahead of everything else in the end, but there could be some hurdles that get in the way for them if Maya realizes that Riley has been lying this whole time … even if she did it for the sake of her happiness.

As for how Lucas is going to be in this particular situation, we just imagine that it’ll be tough given the situation for him to know what to do. You have to remember sometimes that he is just a teenager himself!
