‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: Can Wes move forward with Annalise?

 

To say that the second season of “How to Get Away with Murder” is somewhat complicated would be making a massive understatement, and there are a variety of reasons for that in between the twists, the character relationships, and the thought of this show tying up many of its loose ends at some point before we make it to the end of the first part of the season.

For now, here is one other big thing to chew on: The current state of the Wes / Annalise relationship. Given that she unveiled to him a secret tie to his past, how in the world is he going to be able to move forward from this? It’s a tricky question, and not one that executive producer Pete Nowalk has a firm answer to, telling Entertainment Weekly that “there’s a chance at least someone will be missing” from the Keating Five when the show returns to ABC on February 11.

Let’s raise the stakes here for a second. Isn’t it possible that Annalise ends up losing all of her students? Sure, many of them probably want the credit and the chance to advance further in their careers, but at a certain point, something has to give. That something may just be when their professor is trying to convince them to shoot her in the leg in order to help cover up another murder that was done earlier in an episode. If we were them, we’d want to move on.
