‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6: Aria – Ezra scoop and much more for ‘Five Years Forward’ special

We would not consider Tuesday night’s “Pretty Little Liars” episode to be an ordinary hour for the show … really at all. Instead, the “Five Years Forward” special served a valuable purpose in helping to tease and set up everything that is going to constitute the rest of the series. There were many key details dropped, and above all, reminders that the producers clearly don’t want any popular couple to be together when the show picks back up.

With that in mind, let’s just take a quick snapshot of what apparently happened to many of the characters during their time apart from one another.

Aria and Ezra – While overseas in South America, something terrible happened to Ezra that caused him to slip completely into oblivion. Aria has a new relationship, but she is still working with her former boyfriend in the publishing world.

Hanna and Caleb – While working overseas and getting deep into the world of fashion, Hanna also found a man and got engaged. Caleb has been working constantly in New York City, and found such success that he really didn’t need college.

Emily and Paige – Apparently, they at one point tried to make a relationship work between the two of them again. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen, and Emily’s father has also passed away in the time between seasons.

Spencer and Toby – Once again, another breakup! She is now working hard to crack into the world of Washington politics, while he has apparently found some money and is working on a dream house in Rosewood while climbing the ranks of the police department.
