‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 25 preview: ‘Girl Meets the New Year’ and the future

After tonight’s new episode of “Girl Meets World” entitled “Girl Meets Belief,” you better be prepared for at least a little bit of a wait.

How long are we talking about? Think Friday, December 4. At the moment, this is when the next new episode entitled “Girl Meets the New Year” is scheduled. It’s interesting that the show seems to be jumping right over Christmas this time around, but then again, they had a holiday special for that last year. Therefore, it’s almost as interesting that they chose to do something around the New Year instead; maybe they found a certain part of the symbolism there interesting.

In case you were wondering, there are still several episodes that seem to also be on deck in 2016, and maybe some of them will touch more on the Maya – Lucas – Riley love triangle that first started to really surface in the three-part “Girl Meets Texas.” Series star Rowan Blanchard did speak recently to TVLine, and she had the following to say about the finale, which will seemingly be about a transition into high school and a whole new world for these characters:

“The finale is very interesting. It’s about the legacy we all want to leave behind in middle school — not only about what you’re physically going to leave behind, but also what thoughts you’re going to associate with middle school. Riley and Maya both know that going to high school will take their relationships to a new level, as dating is going to become a real thing, which puts everybody in an awkward position.”
