‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 5 preview: Matt Ryan arrives as John Constantine

Constantine -The story of Wednesday night’s new “Arrow” episode “Beyond Redemption” was a complicated one. While there was a little bit of storytelling when it comes to Sara Lance, much of the story was really about the debate as to whether or not Oliver Queen should really run for Mayor. Stephen Amell and Paul Blackthorne completely killed it in this story, and next week, we’re going to see another notable face in the DC universe appear in John Constantine.

“Haunted” is finally going to mark the appearance of this famed character on the series, and he is here specifically for the sake of trying to save Sara and bring her back to her old safe. For more insight, just take a look at the attached synopsis:

“When things take a turn for the worse with Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Oliver (Stephen Amell) calls in a favor from an old friend who deals in the mystical, John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan).”

Yes, this episode should also serve as at least a nice little bit of closure for those of you out there who do still love the show “Constantine” and wish that it was not canceled by NBC after just one season. Trust us when we say that we’re right there with you. As of right now, we are at least happy that someone has found another way to bring the character into the show in a way that makes sense. Cheers for Constantine! Oh, and we imagine that we’re going to have much more in the way of news in the future.
