‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 6 preview: Meredith versus Penny in ‘Tell Me Nobody Knows’

Grey's AnatomyThursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” is an all-important episode for Meredith’s sense of emotional well-being. Having to be at the same dinner party as Penny, the woman responsible for Derek’s death, had to be no easy task.

So where is the story going next? Well, first and foremost it is going right towards a hiatus. There is no new episode airing on ABC next week, with the primary reason for it being that ABC is choosing to air “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” instead. That’s a little bit of a strange choice timing-wise, given that you are not airing an episode of a show with 24 for the season, but still airing “Scandal” (which only has 22) and “How to Get Away with Murder” (which has 15).

The synopsis below for this episode is probably not going to altogether blow you away when it comes to specifics that you can expect to see when the show returns with “Tell Me Nobody Knows” on November 5, but it is still very much fascinating in its own right:

“Grey Sloan Memorial not only welcomes a new transfer resident, but also a patient who’s the topic of conversation after accidently sending his sex tape to his entire congregation. Meanwhile, Richard wrestles with how to progress his relationship with Maggie when an old friend visits the hospital, and April brings in a case of a young boy from the Middle-East.”

By the time we make it to the end of this particular story, the hope has to be here that you are impressed even more with some of the twists and turns, and you have a greater sense of the direction the story is taking.

Update: After watching tonight’s episode, it’s clear that Penny’s new status will be a big part of the story.
